Sales Process Overview
When you sell a watch, HoroClick captures all the important details and automatically calculates profits, updates analytics, and generates aftercare events for customer relationship management.
What Happens When You Mark a Watch as Sold:
Watch status changes to "Sold"
Profit calculations are performed automatically
Customer is added to your contacts (if new)
Aftercare follow-up events are scheduled
Analytics and reports are updated
Activity is logged for future reference
Step-by-Step Sales Process
Access the Sale Form
Go to Inventory and find the watch
Click "Mark as Sold" button
Or use the "Mark as Sold" option in the watch detail modal
Enter Sale Details
Final amount received (required)
When the transaction occurred
Customer name (auto-creates contact if new)
Staff member who made the sale
Payment Method:
How payment was received
Review Profit Calculation
HoroClick automatically calculates gross profit
GST is calculated on profit only (if applicable)
Net profit is displayed in real-time
Profit margin percentage is shown
Understanding Profit Calculations
HoroClick uses a sophisticated profit calculation system that accounts for all costs and taxes:
Calculation Formula
True Cost Price =
Purchase Price + Polish/Service Costs
Gross Profit =
Sale Price - True Cost Price
GST on Profit =
Gross Profit × (GST Rate ÷ (100 + GST Rate))
Net Profit =
Gross Profit - GST on Profit
GST Calculation Note
HoroClick calculates GST only on the profit portion, not the entire sale price. This is the standard approach for most watch dealers and provides more accurate profit tracking.

When you enter a customer name in the "Sold To" field, HoroClick intelligently manages your customer database:

Returning Watches to Stock
If a sale falls through or needs to be reversed, you can return a watch to stock:
Return to Stock Process
Go to Inventory → Sold Stock tab
Find the watch you want to return
Click "Return to Stock" button
Confirm the action
Watch moves back to active inventory
This clears all sale data and removes aftercare events. Use only when necessary.
